The mirror surface is altered to simultaneously absorb one image while reflecting the other, thus using one source of information, the projector, to create a liminal space between the screen and wall for the viewer.

Long talks with my Giddi about his move to America in 1928 would often reveal the sentiment of hope and possibility. This work explores immigration politics through the collision of myth and reality, asking: what does it mean to be at home?
